Situated on an oak studded ridge above Templeton Road, you will feel instantly immersed in nature
as you approach your nestled, nearly hidden holiday home. The HIDEAWAY is at once accessible and private,
the perfect combination for a weekend getaway from Crazy Town. The breathtaking view and open space
contrast beautifully with the intimate courtyard, terrace, manicured lawn, and well tended native garden.

What makes this house magical is the attention paid to detail. International art, sculpture and photography
fill the HIDEAWAY along with convenience and warmth. The open plan kitchen is fully equipped,
the living and dining area share a vaulted pine ceiling and sliding doors, which lead onto the terrace.
All rooms bathe in gorgeous sunlight throughout the day.
After a day of exploring put your feet up, make yourself at home, and catch your breath.
If you are lucky, there will be someone throwing together a meal from the Saturday farmers market
while you lay on the sofa in sociable silence, or maybe share in a lively conversation.
The HIDEAWAY is your space to create an experience that will nourish and energize you and your loved ones.

The surrounding area is filled with exciting activities and sights to see... Foodies will love the excellent nearby restaurants, the Templeton farmers market is honestly the best, and need I mention wine tasting? The beaches in the area are a throw back to California decades ago and make a perfect day trip, scenic countryside included. If you enjoy looking at houses, Hearst Castle is about a 35-minute drive away and filled with decorating ideas. Also nearby are Morro Bay, Cayucos, and Cambria. From Cambria try winetasting along Highway 46 all the way into Paso Robles. The HIDEAWAY guest book is loaded with suggestions that will guide you to our favorite places to eat, visit and hang out.

About Kathleen

Sunflowers face east toward the rising sun and with upturned faces follow the light westward throughout the day till the sun dips below the horizon.  At night the sunflowers turn their faces back to the East ready for the sunlight at dawn.

Bright, flat, low, golden, even average light, if there is such a thing, I love it all. Light in all its manifestations is the unifying force in my work whether taking a photograph or creating a room. I strive for harmony and balance , but sometimes throw in a visual curve ball to keep it fun.

I’m a native Californian, born and raised in Los Angeles, self-taught in all that I do. I have been a professional photographer all of my adult life.  In recent years I have also worked with clients to create nuanced environments. This website combines two of my passions. Glad I don’t have to choose, I love them both.
